Terms of Service

Last updated August 12, 2026

This is a plain-language summary of the basics while we finalize our full terms. Using MyCareer.Rocks means you agree to them.

Who we are

The service is operated by the team behind MyCareer.Rocks. We are forming MyCareer.Rocks LLC in North Carolina, United States. Until formation is complete, contact us at [email protected]. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, with venue in North Carolina, except that if you are a consumer in the EU or UK you keep the mandatory protections and courts of where you live.

Who may use the service

You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not collect date of birth; this is a stated eligibility rule, not an age-gate check.

Using MyCareer.Rocks

MyCareer.Rocks helps you build tailored resumes and email signatures from your own career profile. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, and for how you use the resumes you create.

Your content

Your career data and the resumes you generate are yours. You grant us the permission needed to store and process them so we can provide the service — for example, generating a tailored resume from your profile. Public career profiles are not enabled today. If we turn that on later and you choose to publish, you would be making that content public, and you would remain responsible for its accuracy and for keeping it appropriate to share.

Plans, credits & payments

Subscriptions and one-time credit packs are billed through Polar, which is the Merchant of Record. Credits are spent per generated resume as described on the pricing page. You can manage or cancel your plan at any time from billing; cancelling stops future renewals and you keep the files you've already created.

If you buy and have not used the credits, we will refund the unused purchase. Once you generate a resume (or otherwise use a paid deliverable), we treat that purchase as performed. Polar's own refund policy also applies, because Polar is the seller.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or upload other people's personal information without their permission. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

One thing that is allowed, so there is no doubt: your reference list. The References tool asks for the contact details of people who have agreed to be your references, and keeping those details is the point of it. You are responsible for having their permission before you add them, and for keeping what they gave you accurate. You can remove any of them, or all of them, at any time.

Changes & contact

We may update these terms as the product evolves; we'll post the new version here. Questions? Email [email protected].
